... I've arrived in Kitale!!
Ok, it's 6.30am, I am suffering from major jetlag and I'm in the back of a taxi to get my domestic flight to Kitale. I was actually feeling ok about this, Nairobi airport was really quite civilised when I'd arrived and I so I was not at all concerned about my internal flight (despite the horror stories). Two cups of Kenyan Chai later and I am starting to feel half human, not a good idea - when they called my flight, awaiting on the runway was what can only be described as a tin-can (Lynney, you know what I am talking about here). 6 seats, 2 flat tyres and 1 propeller!! Then came the pilot - let's just say he did not fill me with confidence. The take-off was bumpy and I spent the next hour gripping on for dear life due to the pilot induced turbulence.
75 minutes later and we are descending at a rate of knots towards a field, as myself and the other 4 passengers shriek (just a little) at what we think is out impending death, however, out of no-where comes a runway!! Then the fun really started ...
The local transportation is a boro-boro (basically a semi-motorised bicycle). Imagine if you will, rucksuck precariously balanced on the front, me precariously balanced on the back and a road ahead that was effectively just pot-holes, speed-bumps and mud patches.
However, I arrived in tact (although a little sore).

Great to hear from you again. Beef bacon aint bacon! I'd say that's a slide of thin steak! I do not envy your plane ride - yikes - I'd have totally cr*pped myself - welldone you for remaining fairly calm.
London is wet and getting wintery, we've had lots of fireworks going off for guy fawkes, and I'm preparing to go to seattle a week today..other than that not too much..still exploring Singapore, so will keep you posted if I get anywhere on that...Big Kiss x
Just looking at Kitale facts, dad has the magnifying glass out (oh dear) did you know that Kitale has the largest number of street kids in all of Kenya and then you arrive. I always said I could eat you, these kids are just testing you out. Your lookin good even if the skype was a bit scrappy. Sounds like three days of really hard work physically and emotionally...
If you can manage that flight and the boro boro ride the rest of this is going to be a walk over. Biggest hugs and kisses
You went out to seek adventure, so that flight seems just right for you! I like the house cock!
Dear Corri,
Loving the pics and stories. Brilliant one of the house cock! You can't go anywhere without working on your tan, you'll make us look see through at Christmas! (Or I'll just need to get a spray tan just before you arrive!)
All good here except for rain and quite chilly. Enjoy the good weather and have fun, sounds like you are.
Missing you thoughm
