Alarm went off at 4.30, but we didn't need it as cars were arriving ready for the ferry. Ferry left on time at 5.30, beautiful morning, calm crossing, people next to us had binoculars and were watching puffins. After arriving on the Isle of Harris we drove up the west coast to the most amazing beach, boys played for hours, we all enjoyed the sun, and it's just fab to be here. I truly love this part of the world and it's great to see the boys liking it too. Mid afternoon we made our way up to Stornoway and along the peninsular to Eagleton where our friend Graham lives. Wow, what a place to live, can't describe it so will post a photo, but the views are fantastic, and right next to the beach. Arrived to the smell of lasagne and garlic bread, washed down with a nice wine! - bliss!

Hi Julia! Wow, what a fantastic trip, it looks fabulous, bet you're having a ball. Hope you're trying a bit of haggis in Scotland and a few nips of whiskey! I am very much with you in spirit!! Have the kids spotted the Loch Ness Monster yet?? Soak up every bit of fun and adventure and I look forward to having a natter over many cups of tea when you get HOME! xx

It's great having you here for lots of reasons: you are all good company; you
are a link with the other half of my life and it gives me an excuse to have
cheese and port with yarns late into the night.

Hey guys, have just spent the last part of this afternoon catching up on all your adventures since Zug. Have really enjoyed reading about it all and loved looking at the pictures. You all look so happy and relaxed and to be having the best time, but is it a trick of the camera or have those boys grown a whole pile taller than they were when you left? What wonderful memories you are creating!!

All is well back in Napier. The sun is shining brilliantly - 20 degrees today, but the trees are pretty bare of their leaves.

Enjoy the rest of your travels.

glad you went to Harris. Many happy memories of being dentist there for 2 years.( did you notice the surgery?) As an aside...W,F+C just left Sydney.
