On the Friday I headed off to see the old town, where all the colonial buildings are. I started on foot, but discovered Lima is a very large city and ended up with a 15 minute taxi ride to get me there. I had a wander around and there are some lovely colonial buildings. I then headed back, and discovered printers street, disabled equipment street, bicycle repair street, kitchen equipment street. I realised that this probably wasnīt the best area to be in so got a taxi back, so I got to see a but more of the city- Lima gets a bad press and I can see why, but I liked its craziness.
I was lucky enough to bump into Rolf, my Swiss companion in Isabela so we had a catch up, ceviche which was a lot hotter than in Ecuador and of course some beer. Just like the old days.
