We arrived in Dahab three days ago. It is not as cool as we had hoped, but an offshore breeze is the saving grace here. This is a vacation spot for Egyptians and the rest of the world alike, and it is full of vacationers. But it is basically a low key kind of place so it doesn't matter. We spent the first day just recovering from our Nile Valley tour and getting oriented. We also decided to move. Our first accommodations were a bit spendy and had no A/C. We moved into our new hotel a couple of day age. It is run by a very nice Danish couple, and it is very nice. We found a dive shop that we like run by a Cockney guy, Steve. We have had five dives so far--all fantastic. We have seen sea horses, cuttlefish and lots of beautiful coral fish. We will be going for a boat dive tomorrow. The wind picked up today--common in the fall apparently. Dahab is the smallest town we have been in so far. We will be returning home on Friday. We are trying to gear ourselves up for the long flight(s) home.
