Hey all so another busy day in Rome. We started at the Vatican were our skip the line tickets worked great, got us in, and suprisingly the museum was not that crowded. Once again Rick is right when he says afternoons and Wednesday mornings are best. The guards were extra watchful so we didn't get any photos in the Sistine Chapel, but got lots in the rest of Vatican. After the museum we headed to St.Peters where we joined the papal audience for the pope's address. After watching for a bit we headed over to Piazza Navona and the Patheon were we had a nice lunch. The one thing that really bugs me about Rome is all these guys that come up and try and shove a rose into your hand and then try and make you buy it, there is also so many people walking around selling kids toys that make annoying noices or fake prada bags.
After the Patheon we headed back to St.Peters to see the church, it is just as stunning the second time. After a little shopping and gelato we are back at the hotel, having some free drinks and desserts in the executive lounge. It's a good thing JP is a diamond member because a can of coke in the hotel is 8 euros! It will be another early night as we head out to Sorrento early tomorrow morning. And once I can figure out how to upload them photos will come soon.
