Rio de Janeiro, Portuguese for river of January and nicknamed the marvelous city. Just like most city's there are some very beautiful areas with golden sandy beaches, sights, activities, shops and restaurants.

One morning we took a taxi up to the giant Jesus which has an amazing 360 degree view over all the city. Took plenty of cool photos and then went for a swim at copacabana beach in the afternoon.

The next day we made a beach tour of the city. Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana. All the beaches here are divided into posts, or areas, so you can sit with similar people, for example there are the family areas, the favelas or shanty town areas, the gay areas, the very bronze and good looking area, the oldies area, the volleyball areas, the locals area, beach fishing area but most people go any where they fancy.
