i flew in from destin on tuesday. leaving panama city, i wasnt expecting a swell in the carribean. as we flew over the west end there were waves breaking all over the reefs. That afternoon on great guana the waves were great. 4-6 ft with offshore winds out of the southwest. woke up the next morning and the swell was gone. the past two days me and dan have been driving his rhinos all over the southern part of great abaco. its fifty miles of deserted beaches and beautiful ridges. the light house on the southern tip is an inspiring place to stand because you are standing on the edge of a huge rock, 100 ft. high looking out over the endless atlantic ocean. we went north south east and west on logging trails and then went further than anybody ever has because dan is nuts when he gets behind the wheel. we climbed reef, boulders, and sand dunes. barcque bay was awsome and looked like a good beach for surfing. this is where they are planning to build. also there is a good wave south of the lighthouse which will take a big southeast swell and cause it to wrap. we also stopped by john lees house. the view was amazing but the reef pass out back was the best setup i have seen. looks like a perfect set up when the wind is hard out of the north.bakers bay sail away party tomorrow.
