Border Run to Burma

We took a speed boat to Phuket and were tossed around until we wanted to hurl. I honestly thought the boat would break or flip as the waves were massive and we were flying. Dave actually puked. From Phuket we bussed it 5 1/2 hours to Ranong. Our only mission here was to go on a visa run to Myanmar (Burma) and back as our 30 day visa was about to expire. As luck would have it, the morning of our run we were searching for a place to eat breakfast and stumbled into a feast organised by a lady who's mum had just died. We had just crashed a funeral and were invited to eat for free. We just had to pay our respects after we were full with the many others praying while 4 monks chanted into microphones on a little stage. The festival went for 7 days. Our immigration run took about 2 hours and a bit of money and we were set for another 30 days.
