As requested numerous times by Dallas, here is a rough plan for our trip, which has changed several times and will probably change again the second we touch down.
Fly into Buenos Aires, Argentina on 17 October, 2008.
OCTOBER/NOVEMBER, 2008:
Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay
incl. Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Asuncion, Encarnacion, Iguazu, Peninsula Valdez (elephant seals), Cordoba, Salta, oh, and at least two weeks of Spanish lessons.
DECEMBER:
Bolivia/Peru
incl. Salar de Uyuni, Lake Titicaca, La Paz, Cuzco, Lima, Iquitos maybe?
JANUARY, 2009:
Ecuador/Colombia
incl. Quito, El Oriente, Cali, Bogota, Zona Cafetera, and Cartagena baby!
FEBRUARY:
Venezuela/Guyana/Suriname
incl. Caracas (briefly I hope), maybe Angel Falls, Lethem, Georgetown, Paramaribo
MARCH:
Brazil
Oh, Brazil!
APRIL:
Chile/Argentina
incl. Santiago, the Carretera Austral, RN40, Bariloche, Mendoza
Fly out of Santiago, Chile on 15 April, 2009.
Ridiculous, I know. Stay tuned to see what gets cut. Or added.

Thanks for doing the itinerary at last Dolly. The trip sounds like a real adventure. I'm sure Patrick will learn a lot from all this travel - what an awesome experience for him. I look forward to him being able to talk to me in Spanish.
