Today I got a driver to go sightseeing around Mui Ne, first stop Fairy Spring.
My driver pulled over to a café, took me down the side and showed me a stream, with a sandy base. And said "just walk up the river". That's through the river as there were no banks. So off I went. I thought it could have been a bit of a joke for tourist, until I saw people walking the opposite way. As the river went on it weaved through "sand hills". The formations really were worth the walk through the stream. Not the first time and it will not be last.
Then it was the long ride (30km) to the white sand dunes. They were beside a fresh water lake that the cows use for drinking.
Then back to the red sand dunes. Stopping, of course, for photos at scenic points and a fishing village.
Then it was back home for a swim. Tomorrow’s plan is kite surfing.
(The next day there was no wind so no kite surfing, just a day of sunbathing).
