Another interesting policy put into play by William Taft was the Payne-Aldrich Tariff Act. In 1909 he introduced this act to the House of Representatives. Taft believed that the Congress should be able to make their own decisions on how to do things, as apposed to being told what to do by the president. The idea of the bill was to lower taxes or tariffs on imported goods. In result of this bill, tobacco exports from the Phillipines increased rapidly by 1915.

That was awesome. I can't wait for tomorrow's adventure! We will be heading over to the Capital Building and taking another tour. For now, I sleep...

My advise follows through from my last entry. The president should give them space and support all branches.
