We booked out round the world tickets today, which means it's official!  We're traveling around the world for 6 months!

Below is our basic itinerary.  Let us know if you might be in the same area, as we'd love to meet up with friends!

March 8: LAX to London  (6 weeks Europe) We'll probably spend a few days in London with my brother and then to Spain.  Then fly to Prague and backpack down to Croatia, hitting some other Eastern European countries along the way.  Ferry across the Greek Islands to Athens.

April 18
: Athens to Bangkok (12 weeks SE Asia) We'll probably spend the most time in Thailand, where we plan to do some volunteering.  Also visit Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

July 12:
Bangkok to Australia (4 weeks Australia) We'd like to visit Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and do some snorkeling or diving at the Great Barrier Reef.

August 9
: Australia to New Zealand (3 weeks NZ) Not sure what we're doing in New Zealand except the Lord of the Rings Tour!

August 30
: NZ to Fiji (1 week Fiji) Probably just relax.  But maybe a kayaking trip here or in NZ.

September 6:
 Fiji to LAX  :(

Have a blast!
Hey Guys, Congrats on the marriage! Man what a travel plan. Here's some info for NZ if you have not decided what you really want to do yet. Hope it helps.

NZ's LOTR tour is on the S. Island. Beautiful place. Skiing during the day up in the mountains and swimming at night at the base of the mountains in Queenstown. Try to catch the glaciers and go inland to see the Mirror Lake tour that takes you to see some pretty cool land formations.

The N. Island is just as beautiful. If you're going to stay on the S. Island only:
1. Got to try the ZORB ball http://www.zorb.com/, 2. Wildlife at http://www.otago-peninsula.co.nz/,
3. and for out of this world burgers (interesting meats too) try http://www.fergburger.com/index.php.
4. History-Arrowtown Chinese village of bachelors. History matches how AsAms were treated in the US during the rail and gold expansion in the US.
5. Ok, have to mention Fleur seafood restaurant near Dunedin. YUM!
6. Morecki boulders-huge, weird and makes you think dinosaur eggs. Very beautiful. Ask when you can see them at low-tide.

North Island:
1. http://www.rotoruanz.com/ (hot springs are awesome, but stinky), there's more NZ culture on the N. island... 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Waitangi
3. Giant ferns! Gorgeous!

If you time it right, you can fly into Auckland, drive down to the south end of the N. island, take a ferry or fly to the S. island. Beware, they drive on the other side of the road. : ) The roads are mostly smaller, 2-4 lane roads.

Trip the light fantastic you two!
