Welcome 2012!

Greetings from Time Square. There's no place like New York on NYE!  The revelers, the music, the confetti, the company.  It was an immemorable experience and would spend another 10 hours rining in the new year across the world all over again.

Mommy, Connie and I basked in the mild weather and enjoyed the comforts of warm conversations with people from around the world and the directness of New York concrete.  I would recommend this for anyone at least once in your lifetime.  This is the only time and place you get to enjoy a new year's kiss with a million other people.  Our resolution for the new year is to be around family and loved ones for the next year.  We got off to a great start.  Props to the 70-year old lady that braved hours of standing and bone-chilling weather to experience the once-in-a-lifetime party in Times Square.  Yes, you were probably the oldest person there!

Leaving Time Square was a whole different story.  It entailed a lot of walking, some pushing and a the last available cab/town car left in the city without passengers.  We were met with a never-ending sea of people leaving the Squares celebrations and either heading home or to continue a night of celebrating.  The night ended with late night dim sum, warming our frosty bones and recapping the best new years experience of our lives.

Now it's time to nap before partaking in a little festivities at the Plaza...

Love, peace and happiness in 2012!

Message from Connie:  Ma, you were the most talked about person in my clinic for the past several days.  Everyone was so amazed at how brave you were celebrating in Times Square.  I hope it was worth it for you -- it was for me.  I am so happy to have experienced that with you and DD!  Next time:  more layers of clothing, hand-warmers, and seat cushions!
