Finally off the boat! It made it all the funnier as some guy slipped off the gangplank and fell in! There were the usual hawkers selling their guesthouses but we met the guy who owned the guest house we booked as most of the gang on our minivan had booked there too. The room was grand nothing special however it got off to a bad start as the guy took the key off us and gave it to another tourist so we went mad and said we'd paid for double rooms with air con etc. It was fine in the end tho. Your man was just cheeky taking the key.
We met up with a french couple from the minibus and all six of us went for an Indian. The town was unreal, mud roads, wooden shacks, and a very basic way of life. Great views of the Mekong River from the restaurant tho and lovely sunset. Up again at 7.30am for day two of the wooden bum boat. This one was a bit nicer with curtains on the side and a mini bar! swanky! The day flew so it wasnt as painful as day before and the wooden bum syndrome didnt seem so bad! Scenery pretty much the same and good weather which is always a bonus, especially on a boat! Finished all my books tho..
