Wilkes-Barre?? Hmmm. The itinerary says Scranton, but we're close, so it must be Wednesday.  We left Franklin, Mass. mid-morning and had a leisurely drive through the Catskills of NY and the Poconos of PA, arriving in Wilkes-Barre, PA late afternoon.

On Thursday we continued south through the Poconos and approached D.C. via Gettysburg where we took time to drink in some of the peaceful landscape and the quaint buildings of that historic place that changed the course of history forever in these United States of America.

We arrived at Kathleen Bergin's condo about 6 pm.  It has been a number of years since we've had an opportunity for more than a 10 minute visit, so we talked as we sipped wine, prepared dinner, enjoyed a tasty shrimp/pasta/asparagus dish, cleaned up and continued to talk until we were way past our bedtimes before we remembered to check our watches.
