After a leisurely breakfast we all set off along the coast again with the heavy sea mist still hanging over our heads, but the riding along the coast is so exciting as you climb up and down along the switchbacks until we hit the flat of the ocean again, in this particular 500 metres there was only one lane because so much sand had blown over the road from the beach, there was a bulldozer moving the sand off, but for the time being our bikers swerved in and out of the dunes until we started climbing away from the coast into the warmer hills towards Nazca. 15 kms from town we took the 7 km turn off for the Chauchilla cemetery, the site in the desert where there has been found hundreds of mummies sitting up in their graves still with clothing and some jewelry left, however grave robbers took care of most of the artifacts.
Our little band of riders then rode the last few kms into our hotel at the edge of town, here lies the big surprise as we rode the 2 kms to the hotel on bush roads, I knew everyone was thinking "where are we going out here" all of a sudden we arrived at these massive gates as they swing open we arrive at this several hundred year old Hacienda come hotel Majoro with its beautiful lush gardens, swimming pools and historical air

Although it was the end of the road for the bike riding, we managed to have a good celebration by the pool with cold beers and great food.The group took the half hour flight in the afternoon to marvel at the Nazca lines in the desert, there were plenty of theories put forward that evening to attempt to solve the mystery around dinner but I don't think we have solved the riddle yet.
Tomorrow we take a private transfer to the hustle and bustle of Lima
Hmmm the end of another journey, when is the next one???
