We never expected to experience a taste of scotland with heavy fog, cold weather and charming small towns. Gualala and this section of Californian coasts has something to offer that you do not expect to see.

Sunsets, the battle of the Chardonnays as a carry over from wine country, and a hot tub (even with the kids) are a highlight. And even climbing a light house, something that I have always wanted to do. I have been reading 'Jonathan Livingston seagull' the kids, and with the offer of a few crumbs he came to check in on us.

To Bruce Bowden, the bezinger family renamed their wine from Glen Ellen to Bezinger: a good estate but did not quite match what I had picked from clos pegase. Nonetheless, during the gentle sunset we enjoyed both bottles.
