Started by wanting to see the Sorbonne. Only available by appointment. Again, missed the memo. Casually did the left bank thing, wandered, coffee, etc etc. Rushed back to change for Ballet Flamenco w/ Sara Baras at the Theatre Champs-Elysees. Clicking on the names will give you their websites... One of the best performances in any dance form I have ever seen, tops any touring ballet troupe I have caught. So much passion, so much feeling for life, it was a combination of dance, theater and live concert (singer, percussions, guitars and violin). Amazing, highly recommend it. I can only imagine how intense sex with a Spaniard would be.
Strolled to/around the Arc de Triomphe. Different look to it at night with 7 lanes of mad Parisians circling it. I use the term "lane" loosely, very loosely here, with what seems like 42 points of entry and exit and no clear delineation of who goes where when, it was another case of chaos without lawlessness. Anywho, it was amazing (for lack of a better, non-repetitive word). Yet another goliath monument to battle, the God of Napoleon's reign (second only to him, mais bien sur).
