Yesterday we went to Albuquerque to go to Sam's club so Steve could get more Monster Coffee Drink. It was another beautiful day and the scenery along the drive was breath-taking. We went to the ABQ Uptown outlet mall where we had lunch and went into the Apple Store where Steve purchased a piece of software and Judith purchased the latest ipod.
Steve made his shepherds pie for dinner. After dinner, Richard and Judith were tired and went into their room to relax. I went into our room and called Rachael and Trish while Steve was in the living room working on the computer. We last saw Cocoa as she was wandering in and out of the bedroom. When Steve was coming to bed, we noticed that she didn't seem to be anywhere in sight. We had a theory that she may have gone into Judith and Richard's room when Richard came out to put the dogs to bed in the dog room. When Steve came to bed, I asked him if he had seen Cocoa and he informed me that he had not
He looked outside and around the house, but still no Cocoa. This morning when I heard Judith up, I checked to see if she might have gotten into their room, and again no sign of her.
We have checked everywhere in the house and the garage, around the neighborhood. No sign of her anywhere. We are so worried but really can't do anything about it other than put posters around the neighborhood. We will do that and hope that someone has seen her. We are so worried about her and none of us can imagine how she would have figured out how to use the dog door - but we can't think of any other way she would be missing. We will keep you posted this sad event.
In addition, Steve spoke to his mother last night to find out that his father is still in the hospital on PEI where they are trying to stabilize him enough to move him to Halifax. We are not sure if either both of us or Steve alone may have to fly home. It is going to be a hard day for us...lots of worries.
On the bright side, I made an appointment to have my hair professionally done at a salon here in Santa Fe. We will be sure to get before and after photos for the blog. It is hard to do anything without having this big knot in my stomach thinking about Cocoa missing, but at least it will keep my mind occupied for a short time.
Please send out positive energy and your prayers that we find her safe and sound and that Steve's father is able to be stabilized so he can get on the mend faster.
We appreciate all of your notes.
