This morning both Steve and I slept in. It was after 10:00 when I woke up and by the time I went down stairs, Judith and Richard had walked the dogs and gone for groceries. I was feeling a bit better so we made plans to go to the opening of "the Railyard" a new park and public facility. We took Judith's mother Dorothy. This was our first meeting with Dorothy since arriving here in Santa Fe. She herself has had a very interesting life. She is 80 and lives on her own in an apartment not far from Judith and Richard's place.
Tonight was supposed to be the night that we were going to the Santana concert in Albuquerque. Judith has not been feeling that well for weeks so she really wasn't up to going to an out-doors concert and with the way both Steve and I have been feeling, we were not at all disappointed to not go. We gave the tickets to Ben and his friends to enjoy. I am sure the concert was great but to have a quiet evening at home with Judith and Richard was much more suitable for the day.
As I am sitting here writing this, the power is out and I am sitting here in the light of the computer screen. The moon is coming through the large windows in the living room, and other than that the whole neighborhood is dark. The power went out after dinner once everything was cleaned up. Richard was working on a project for work that required that he watch a specific show on TV. He was in the middle of that when the power went out. Since there was really not much else he could do down stairs, he went up to their bedroom (Judith was already lying down) and Steve also went to bed. So here I sit, in the light of my computer screen writing this blog entry. I guess it is time for me too to go to bed and get a good night sleep. Tomorrow I will do my best to give you an update on our day in Albuquerque.
