WooHoo!!!! Wow, there's been so much preperation to get us to this point but the house is all packed and we are two flights in. We just finished checking our backpacks in los angeles and we're making final phone calls to friends and family before getting on our next flight. First destination... Fiji. Never taken sleeping pills before but it sounded like a good idea for our 11 hour flight coming up. We feel so blessed and fortunate and we're just psyched to chill on the beach for the next week. Our journey has begun!!

My brother sent me a passage from one of my favorite books... Eat Pray Love

“…I’ve come to believe that there exists in the universe something I call “The Physics of The Quest” – a force of nature governed by laws as real as the laws gravity or momentum. And the rule of Quest Physics maybe
goes like this: “If you are brave enough to leave behind everything
familiar and comforting (which can be anything from your house to your
bitter old resentments) and set out on a truth-seeking journey (either
externally or internally), and if you are truly willing to
regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if
you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher, and if you are prepared – most of all – to face (and forgive) some very difficult realities about yourself….then truth will not be withheld from you.”

... it felt very fitting as we are embarking on quite the journey ... I
like to think of it as a pilgrimage.  We both have set intentions for
the trip.
