The last 10 days or so are something of a haze of going away parties, rushed last minute organizing, music festivals and heart wrenching goodbyes.  I've hardly had a chance to sit down with all the goings on.  It feels a bit like my head is still in the clouds and that my beginning of this trip hasn’t even begun to sink in.

The beginning of the end was Tuesday when I left Tyndall where I have worked and studied for 4 years.  It was a bit surreal walking out of the place.  Maybe a bit silly giving up a job you love in a recession. But it had to be done!  Got some great and thoughtful pressies from the gang, thanks lads, especially for the Kleenex and the queen.  Wednesday was my designated day of rest and that night was the going away do with the girls of 68 Deerpark.  Thursday there was a music festival to prepare for.  Electric Picnic was epic, again. It swallowed up Friday-Monday.  Tuesday was for recovery and Wednesday was the day Pia left.  Heart wrenching indeed, even though I will be seeing her very soon in Budapest.  Her leaving marked the end of the summer... and honestly I could not a dreamt a better summer.  I only had a few hours to morn before the move had to be made from 68 Deerpark.  Next my last poker, nice to say best of luck lads without being all weepy, clearly its a girl thing J. Thursday I moved home and that night was a family meal and farewell, at this stage goodbyes were in my stride so I surprisingly held it together. Final goodbye was to the Mammy.  Of course I saved a few tears for her,
but it was not as bad as I thought.  Again this kind of think is in my
stride by now.

Last night was the final going away party, aptly located in the Crane Lane. It was a great oul night and I was really chuffed with the turnout.  Even people who I haven’t seen for years were there which was really nice. Thanks to all who were there, I appreciate the great send-off.
