Drive into Washington. Go round 'n circles looking for a parking spot. Finally find one. Spend the day walking around. Another scorcher of a day. Get tired of walking and no Politicians nor Government worker in sight. Head back to the campground and go for a swim.
Alexis went for a swim and I sent my email log. It was time to do chores. Alexis did dishes while I did laundry. Nick also called from his BOTP (Basic Officer Training) from St. Jean, Quebec. We had also chatted with Katrine on MSN from Brisbane, Australia but she had to run and catch her bus as she was on the move again up the coast after spending a month & a half working and making some money to pay for the remainder of her trip. After all the chatting Alexis & I went for a walk around the campground. Once the sun went down we could hear some weird sounds. Didn't sound like any birds I had ever heard. Then I saw what it was...BATs. The creepy, ghost house, makes your spine tingle, kind. They were everywhere. Luckily they stayed in the trees. We just had to listen to them all night long.
