The decision's been made. I'm staying around here for a few more days. There may be no beach to lie on, but the weather is awesome, the women are beautiful and the town is peaceful.

The plan is to take a bus to Pakse on Wednesday and then a flight to Ho Chi Minh on Thursday. But then, nothing is ever etched in stone.

Slept in, like yesterday, showered, then started wandering around town. No camera. Between blocks are dirt pathways where you find the locals houses. I wander down a few of these "back alleys". It almost feels like the slums of Delhi (or so I believe). The people are all so friendly and are saying Sabai-dee and smiling. In one yard the men are watching a coq fight. Roosters are in cages around the yard.

A couple of hours of wandering like this and then I stop for lunch along the Mekong. There's a picture of the restaurant posted the first day I was here.

After lunch I go grab my iPad and head to Lin's Cafe to read my iBook. Paperback's are so passť when you can download a novel and not have to worry about the extra weight in your pack. I'm reading the latest novel about Jason Bourne. As you may remember, back in Nanaimo I had spent my time catching up on his exploits. I started reading the IBook on the flight over from Canada. Hadn't read anything since. The first chapter I read has some interesting information that seems quite coincidental to my life. Jason has this ring with an inscription on the inside. Sounds quite "Lord of The Rings-ish". He's trying to decipher the inscription and ends up at Oxford University. The lettering is a cipher in 3 old languages. One is Latin, another Persian, and the third is Ugaritic (a magical language thought to be used in Alchemy). The hypothesis about the ring is something about East getting together with West and together with the magical words of the ring create something amazing (OK. I'm making that part up) But there's definitely something non-coincidental about this fictional story and my life.

I've already started thinking that my Dream Girl might be Asian. I'm Western. She would be Eastern. Somehow the joining of east and west creates something to unite the people of the world. I keep on joking that I'm psychic. Maybe I do know the future and I will save the world with my Asian Dream Girl. The alternative is that I've been taking too much cold medicine and I'm just hallucinating.

Hmmm! Well there goes that theory. This goes back to the original theory of mine written in my book or Paul's Journey blog that I was hallucinating at that time because of the elevation I was at. I doubt I'm much above sea level now.

So much for theories.

After reading for a few hours went back to my room for a nap and more drugs. Out for supper. Then finally caught up on my entries.

Goodnight Mom!

Goodnight everyone else!

Love to all!

Think It! Feel It! Live It! Love It!

PS. One day everyone will be begging me to teach them what I know. The sad part is that you all already have the tools you need. It just comes down to trusting what your heart is telling you. As the moral of the story from the Alchemist states, if you follow your heart, you will find what you are looking for.
