The weather turned sour during my visit to Santa Fe. It had rained a bit while I was in Madrid, was cloudy in Santa Fe, then when I hit the road back to Albuquerque the wind picked up and the rain started falling. I had hoped to stop in at the Petroglyph National Monument and spend the evening in Old Town Albuquerque.

With the crappy weather last night, I got up having to decide if I stayed another day or hit the road for points east.

Hitting the road won.

Forgot to mention how amazing my life is. Oh right. I do that all the time. But here is an example of how I'm always in the right place at the right time and that I should never worry about things.

Yesterday morning I got up and noticed that someone had parked their truck and U-haul trailer behind me in the motel parking lot. I had parked near the dumpster and left enough room so that I could unload the Mini in the morning. Now I couldn't. There also wasn't enough room to pull forward due to a car being parked there. What to do if I wanted to go touring? I get ready and hang out a bit but it's getting later in the morning and the truck is still there. I decide to go outside to see what my options are. Just then a guy comes out and goes to the truck to get some bags. I ask him if he's leaving soon. The answer is no. So I ask him to move his truck. No problem. As my life goes, earlier there had been 2 other trucks with trailers parked along the back motel fence. They were now gone and this guy had somewhere else to park.

I love my life!
