I went to Santa Fe because I had heard it was a beautiful city to visit. I wasn't disappointed. I love the Adobe buildings. I also visited the Cathedral of Saint Francis of Assissi.

In this Basilica is the oldest representation of the Virgin Mary in the USA. The little wood carved statue dates to the fourteenth century or earlier. It arrived in Santa Fe in 1625. The last title given to this statue is "Our Lady of Peace". It is also known as "Our Lady of the Rosary" and "La Conquistadora" for it's assistance in the conquest of hearts.

Talking about the conquests of hearts, I had an encounter with a young woman outside the church. I was taking some photos when I noticed this young woman. Nothing unusual in that. I often notice women, OK, especially the young, attractive ones. Then she comes over to me and asks me to take her photo with her camera. Her English wasn't that great. She asks me to take various shots. Each time I took a photo I noticed that she was definitely posing for me. What was odd, was that when I had noticed her earlier it seemed like she was hesitating to come talk to me. Something in her body movements.

But then, this is the weird and wacky world that I live in. I observe, I document, I relate. Where is all this going to lead us? Only time will tell.

Think It! Feel It! Live It!
