It's raining, it's pouring, the wind is a blowing. So what do you do? Find some indoor places to visit.
Yes, it's time to do some more touring. I've had enough of writing about me and my life. It is amazing, but what about all these places in the world that people want to know about? Well, today you get a brief look at Sacramento.
Took a drive from my hotel in Fairfield to Sacramento. The rain started falling, and falling, and falling....and falling
I was driving on Interstate 80 towards Sacramento when the clouds opened up. Couldn't see more then a few car lengths due to the spray from the cars and water on the roadway. Think anyone would slow down? Not many. Glad I was driving the Mini Cooper. Stops on a dime and has the power to get out of the way of everyone else if need be. This part of the journey is going to be amazing!
Get to Sacramento. Trying to find the train museum. Construction. Wrong turn. Rain. GPS. End up at the Crocker Art Museum. An hour and a half of viewing paintings and art. That done, realize where the road to the train museum is and end up in Old Sacramento. Should of had this on my to-see list, along with some sunny weather. Oh well, gotta make the best of it. Walk around a while in the rain. Take a few pictures of the amazing old buildings then head to the railroad museum.
The visit starts with a 20 minute movie about the birth of the Transcontinental railway. Then a couple of hours of reading about and experiencing trains. Enjoy the photos.
Back at the hotel and watching the news. The only topics of discussion are rain, rain and more rain. Guess life stops when the weather is crappy. But I also found out that the highway I drove to get here yesterday was closed due to snow. Talk about perfect timing. I love my life.
Think It! Feel It! Live It!
