Where I stayed
North Sydney/Cabot Trail KOA
Last night as I went to bed Hurricane Bill was still pounding Cape Breton and heading towards Newfoundland. Did I want to head to Sydney today to catch the ferry to Port Aux Basques tomorrow or wait around here another day for the aftermath of the storm to calm down further east.
I jump out of bed and decide I'm hitting the road. I go to book my ferry ride for tomorrow and I have a problem...they're all booked....Wednesday....same. Guess I'm going over on Thursday. I check the weather forecast and it's rain all day today but sunny and warm tomorrow and Wednesday in Sydney. Guess I'll be doing some more touring. Have to see the Fortress at Louisbourg and drive the Cabot Trail.
I, more or less, accomplished what I wanted this past weekendwww.whatisinc.ca
I didn't do the bookkeeping I had hoped to but at least all my bills are paid for another month. For last year I did my bookkeeping this spring. Do you know how long it takes to enter 12 months worth of invoices and receipts into an accounting system when you were traveling for 9 of those months in 15 different countries with 6 different currencies? This year I promised to stay up to date. I have done the first 4 months of the year, but then, I was at home for those months.
I wrote the blog on my website as promised. Check it out...
The blog is about "coincidences". I forgot to write one of them in the blog...so here it is.
On Saturday I had a load of laundry to do. After I get my website photoshopping system all fixed I walk over to the campground laundry facilities. Put my bed sheets in the wash and walk back to the trailer. Half an hour later I walk back to put the sheets in the dryer but the wash isn't finished. There's a table there with a bunch of books. Sign says, "Take a book, leave a book". The first book I see is called, "Photographer's Market - Where and how to sell your photographs". It's a contact list of over 1450 magazines, publishers, stock agencies, etc. So I took the book.
BTW I did leave a book...a copy of mine. Which reminds me, I mentioned you could get a copy on Amazon but failed to give the specifics. So here is the link...
I have an amazing view from my campsite. Check it out.
