I'm going to be brief as I'm sharing the computer with Alexis.

Today's drive was though beautiful countryside that varied considerably from morning till night. Rolling country meadows with turn of the century (the last one) barns, lake country, and miles and miles of more trees.

Traffic was the opposite of the past 2 days. It was the start of a long weekend and the traffic showed it. Non-stop cars and trucks heading to the lakes, campgrounds and cottages. Lucky for us we were heading in the opposite direction. The traffic coming out of Ottawa as we approached the campground was backed up for kilometres in a stop and go pattern.

The 2000 kilometres through Ontario were stress free and we got to see some amazing countryside. We saw numerous Moose, Mooses, or is that Muces (ie. Mouse/Mice) along the highway. Unfortunately none were of the real kind. All we saw were signs telling us to watch out for them. We did (look)...but we didn't (see any).

This route is definitely better then the southern route through the USA. No Interstates with rushing transport drivers constantly passing you at breakneck speeds or speed demons on Prozac rushing to supposedly important meetings. During the first 2 days of driving in northern Ontario the only cars passing us had Alberta license plates (no comment on where I could go with that one). The pace of life is definitely less stressful up here. Why rush?

There were more cars passing me today. Most with Ontario or Quebec plates. Guess you have to rush to the lake so that you have more time to de-stress from the week. Sounds like an oxymoron to me.

That's it...that's all.
