Isla de los an Argentine island that lies 29 km off the eastern extremity of the Argentine portion of Tierra del Fuego, from which it is separated by the Le Maire Strait. It's also called "The Ends Of the Earth".

Now why would you think that this is important? Well...this is a travel blog and that is my destination. I’ll get there...sooner...or later. The thing with my plans is that they always seem to come out as planned...NOT!

At this time, the tip of South America is my planned destination by the time “this” blog is done in 2 years time...or so. This is going to be one VERY long blog (maybe). In Part I, I had a big NOT after the Ends of the Earth. That blog ended, basically, with my stop in Tofino, British Columbia where I had found Peace and Grace, the purpose of that Journey. I never made it to the Ends of the Earth that time. My first book ended with a be continued. Even though there is a Part II (the sequel to Part I), this blog is the actual continuation of the original Journey. The Post Scriptum in the book might explain why this is the continuation (so buy the book if you want to know why, it’s available on Amazon). But then, until this blog is actually written, who knows what it’s true purpose is. What will happen during this period that will support all that I wrote in Part I? Do Paul’s Dreams come true?

This Journey! You now know that the destination is the southern tip of South America and at some point in time I’ll be going to Gander, Newfoundland. In 3 of the past 4 blogs I always seem to make a detour through Winnipeg. Family is important. Detours not so. Alexis needs to be in Winnipeg again this summer and so our journey “officially” starts there.

The South America portion of the journey will be by motorcycle. That portion of the journey will be in my movie. Backtrack up through Central America to Guatemala where I will have driven my motorhome (which I still do not own) from the northern tip of Alaska, to visit my sponsored foster child and drop off some relief cargo for her village. Having started that part of the Journey in Alaska sometimes next fall (maybe), I will have been back in Calgary since next May (or so). (Why have any semblance of order in the way I’m describing what I’ll be doing over the next couple of years when my plans always seem to take detours.) My time in Calgary will have been spent finalizing the pre-production of the movie script that I will be writing this winter in Texas (I think).

Having arrived back in Calgary next May for a stopover (history loves to repeat itself-read Part I) from spending the winter in Texas writing my second book and a movie script. Prior to Texas the plan is to spend this December in California (L.A. specifically) meeting/talking to film industry people. I should be on the west coast on Vancouver Island in November and in October will have another stopover in Calgary to finalize the sale of my house (which still hasn’t sold and will now be off the market until September).

Back to Winnipeg. From Winnipeg, Alexis and I will be heading to Montreal where my other daughter, Rhéline, is moving to continue her studies in Anthropology at McGill University. The trailer is packed full of her things. Once we get her settled into an apartment, Alexis and I are heading to Prince Edward Island and will meet up with my son, Nick, who will just have finished his summer training at the Naval base in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He’ll tour the Island with us for a week before he flies to Calgary to visit family & friends before school restarts in September and he has to return to Kingston at the Royal Military College.

Alexis will fly back to Calgary on August 21 from Halifax. I'll continue on solo to the Atlantic ocean in Newfoundland. The return trip should take me through Boston, a return stop to Nashville, through Kentucky, and Kansas and back to Calgary sometimes in September.

Now that's the plan. Reality will be what????????

We're off to Winnipeg in the morning for the first leg of the journey.
