I had so much to write and so much to see. But I spent most of my time in bed.
I had planned on writing about the car accident I came across during the drive to Lubeck from Berlin. About 1 hour to do 5 kms on the Autobahn. Now that sucks when you are on a motorcycle and trying to keep your balance in stop and go traffic. That is, until you decide to follow some other guys on motorcycles driving between the cars. Now that went much faster.
Then that got me thinking about writing about balance in general. I was going to expand on that topic by talking about having balance in life, in eating, work, and so on. But I guess I won't.
Then I wanted to talk about the beautiful medieval buidlings I saw in Lubeck, but I can't, because I didn't see any. Or I could have writen about and posted pictures of the gorgeous Fraus I saw frolicking on the beaches, but since I never made it to the beaches I don't have pictures nor anything to talk about.
Yes, my health sucks. When I arrived in Lubeck, the lack of sleep from sleeping in hostels, the jet lag, the extensive walking, the chnage in diet,...and whatever else, had an effect on my fibromyalgia. That is, the symptoms I had under control back home came back in full force. The lack of energy, the sore muscles, all of it.
When I arrived at the hotel I was going to nap for 2 hours. That turned into a 14 hour, semi-good sleep. But then yesterday I was still not feeling refreshed and so decided to skip any touring. It was a perfect day for the beach!
I took part of the day trying to find accomodations at my next stop in Denmark. Due to the dwindling and almost non-existent funds, my daughter Rheline had suggested I sign up at a website called "couchsurfing". There, fellow travellers offer their "couch" for anyone passing through their hometown. I filled in all the info and sent out a few requests for Copenhagen. One reply but they were heading out of own this morning for a week. It is a little short notice. The hostels in Copenhagen are all booked for tonight. The hotels are outrageously expensive for a guy with no funds left.
So here I am writng an abridged entry (compared to what I was planning on writing) saying that I am very close to beeing stranded. But I have faith in the Universe to provide. I am taking the ferry across to Denmark. A shortcut across the Baltic Sea. Hopefully I will meet someone who will offer me a place to stay.
Just a reminder that there is a Donate to Paul's travels button at the top of the entry. Anything would be appreciated and any amounts will be repaid (especially the large "loans"). Just because I have faith in the Universe to provide doesn't mean that the Universe doesn't want YOU to be the one providing.
But I must say that there was one extremely positive item that I must report on. I had the most amazing dream during my 14 hours of rest. Yes, I had the dream where I meet Alyssa. The thing that confuses me is that I believe I should have had it last month prior to my visit to Los Angeles. I was at a baseball game and Alexis was there. Oh Well! No more dream interpretations. Look what happened the last time I tried interpreting a dream. (This is a hint to go read Paul's Journey if you haven't already)
