The bus we got from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur had a seat massage with 5 different settings. We'd our own private telly too for the 5.5hr journey, all for a staggering eur13.
Spent two days there, hopping between the massive air-conditioned shopping malls is the most comfortable way to make it down a street.
Finnegan's pub is another one of those pubs that has the whole "old man Irish pub" thing. The checkered cushion on the top of the wooden stools that looks like its held on with a ring of thumb tacks. You could forget where you are until you see Malaysia beating China in the badminton on the big screen.
Kenny Rogers has a chain of restaurants, as well as being Niamh Harmon's favourite artist....."You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run". And if you see a Kenny Rogers Roasters restaurant, you should definately run Berjaya Times Square mega mall
Berjaya Times Square mega mall
. It's like a cross between airplane food and a tesco's frozen dinner, except a little more rubbery (if that's even a word). Maybe it was produced the same time as his last album?

Our 2nd trip to Kuala Lumpur was definately one to remember. We spent a few days in KL again after gettin back from Borneo. I got bed bugs again...whinge whinge. Niamh paid about 8 euro to stick her feet in a fish tank for half an hour to let loads of little fish eat the dead skin off her feet. This was at the fish spa in a massage place around the corner from where we were staying. We met an Aussie Chiropractor who works in Indonesia in a Regae bar in town who has the weirdest laugh, but we'd good craic out with him two nights. We also came across a Theme Park inside one of the Mega Malls. Just madness. It's actually hard to believe your eyes. Walkin around shoppin for underpants and about 40 people whizz by you screaming in a roller coaster. We thought there was an underground trainstation at that mall the last time we were there when we heard the noise and paid no attention. We went on the bumpers, which last for ages, and some other thing that lifts you up about four floors and spins you around. The roller coaster was such good fun we went on it twice. It does a 360 loop upside down and cork screws by balconies of people walkin around with there shoppin bags.
So if anyone is in KL anytime soon, stick your feet in a fish tank at a massage place near BB Plaza mall on Jalan Bukit Bintang. Or go to the Berjaya Times Square shoppin mall and jump on the "DNA Mixer" or the roller coaster at Cosmos World Theme Park. OOORR go to the Regae bar near the China town markets, Petaling st. and listen to some Robert Marley (or try to get the number of the Ladyboy who works there....whatever you're into)
