Climbed to the top of Mt. John and had a BBQ and drinks at the hostel. There's an Observatory on top of Mt. John. We'd a look a Mt. Cook (NZ's highest) through the telescope. Later that night we were going to go star gazing with giant telescopes up there. You can see some of the planets etc., but unfortunately the wind picked up and they didn't want to open the shutters at the top of the mountain.
We'd a few nice stops on the drive to Tekapo from Dunedin. The round boulders of Moeraki beach (cool), the Maori paintings on the rock (were crap to be honest really) and at a viewing point for Mt. Cook (class).
