Day 22 Woodward Oklahoma to Enid Oklahoma 113.8 miles 3,253 ft climbing

Today is a day I would like to forget.  David woke up feeling nauseous after a night of diarrhoea.  He looked like death - but as we are both now looking like death it's hard to tell whether this is a signal for termination or not.  More importantly he said he felt like death.  The result was that for 100 miles I repaid the love of yesterday and pulled him through 5-25 m.p.h cross/head winds all effin' day.  As the official photographer of our trip (yeah I know there's been no photos yet - something for the kids to do when we're back!!) David was off duty.  I guess dereliction of duty was forgiveable given the state of him and besides weren't we cycling past the same field??  Somehow he managed to cycle all day on just one packet of Cliff blocks. At 80 miles Idid wonder if I'd be able to finish myself as it's very tiring riding without a group.  I do miss Jim, Dave, Carly and Holly.  Sharing the pain was part of the joy!
Cruelly, there was a tail wind for the last 5 miles and it was just such easy riding. They need to plant more trees in Oklahoma.

Wow - you guys are incredible - and you still manage to write gripping blogs after gruelling days! xx

Keep on, you two are doing great and I am thinking of you and sending good wishes as you slog through god-awful Oklahoma. We road yesterday with just 20mph head and cross winds and I thought of you guys riding with those brutal 40mph winds. Do you need more endure-it? I can drop ship some to your hotel a couple of days down the road.
Hang in there!! You are doing something amazing even though it feels like crap at the moment
