Wow! We are here - took the train from London and after a snooze on the train...Voila! we were here! We took a taxi from the train station as the metro was too daunting at 9:30pm (with a couple of train switches...nope!)... we arrived at our hotel and were very pleasantly surprised...it is a gorgeous little pension looking onto a lovely fragrant garden. We fell asleep with the sounds of Paris coming in through our open window from beyond the high wooden gate that protects us... and slept soundly until 9:30am - caatching up on some sleep. We then were served croissants, cafe au lait and orange juice in the garden. Off we went to our first day in Paris...we took a bus tour which showed us the highlights and stopped at the Tour Eiffel - though didn't go to the top. It is hot, hot, hot and we couldn't bear the long lineups...so instead we have come down to Seine and will take the late evening boat tour to view the "City of Light" from boatside.

Happy Canada Day!!
Wow Cath! Last year at this time you were singing Oh Canada in a natural hot tub on the side of a mountain. This year, you're getting French men to show you their long barrels. Ce qu'est une vie!!
The two of you look happy and gay (in the original sense) and we're most envious!!
We've spent the day in West Edmonton Mall (of all things) because we decided to celebrate the girls' fabulous school year with a trip to the water park and unbridled shopping for dresses. It was a great day! Now we're stopping at home for a bite to eat before heading out to the fireworks.
Stay safe and happy!!
With lots of love,
Jenny, Glenn, Sophie, and Emily
Hello
Hi,some of my friends post their trips at TripVilla.com. I think it is a better website to present your trip with pictures. Check it out!
