We have arrived...safe and sound! The flight was very uneventful with unimpressive movies, but the company and conversation was exceptional! We jumped on the 'tube' as soon as we cleared customs and got off almost at the front door of our little hotel near Russell Square. Poor Min has had trouble with her interac card so that it is first on our list to fix \yikes!...no money??? no fun!!! After we do that we will be trotting off to spend the rest of the afternoon at the British Museum. I already took some pics of us in our room but forgot the firewire to upload it...oh well next time... Well must go for now cheerio and pip pip (and all that)!

Simply Marvelous to Hear You're Safe!
Dearest Cath and Min,
We're delighted that you have arrived at your first leg of your journey safe and sound (although, in Min's case, penniless)! It must be thrilling to finally get started on this trip that you've both been breathlessly waiting for for so long now!
Being able to keep up with you via this travel blog is a marvelous treat.
Stay well. We hope Min sorts out her cash flow situation very quickly. And, have some fish and chips and a Newcastle Brown for us!
With ever so much love from the poor sods left behind in Edmonton: Jenny, Glenn, Emily, and Sophie. xoxoxoxoxo
Brit. Museum
Hope you caught the original Beatles manuscripts!!!
This may not be on your to do list but the underground war rooms used in WWII Near Downing St.) is well worth a visit & doesn't take too long.
We took Em & James to Harrods as a London icon. (not really a shopping venue as the prices can be way more than we pay here for the same thing - but you can get the VAT back) I am sure it will be v. crowded. The food hall is worth it alone. Em. at 12 was quite underwhelmed until she discovered the teen section with all the designer gear - a little different than Jacob Jnr.!!

The Land of Decorum
glad U R on the grd in good form. Form is v. imp. in the UK. Stayed in Russell Square in 1985 (rugby). V. close to theatre district as i recall. Hope you have time to see some of London's fab architecture. EnCana's architects (Foster & Ptnrs) did the most recent update on the Br. Museum as well as the Ghurkin Bldg. (you can't miss it).
Think of you often. Thanks for remembering us.
Mikey
Enjoy London!
Dear Cathy:
Have a great time on the first leg of your trip. Finally, Vancouver has had a warm June day - the weather here has been quite irregular - many flowers are quite late.
Thinking of you, and just know that you are going to have be busy and enjoying every moment!
Love
