Hmm so much for the introspective, back to our adventure. Another almost 400 K to cover today. We hit out around 9.30. Mr. GPS took us for some sort of social study tour initially, but finally we got on to the open road and some high speed curves in the foothills of the Sierra Nava
After the foothills we climbed way up into the mountains. Mike took us into a small village on the way. Mr. GPS said we could get to the place we had planned to have lunch at via this route. After a series of narrow lanes we came to a small town square. While Mike & Alex entered into an argument with Mr. GPS, I decided to ask a local for directions. I think he was a bit dim, because he did not seem to understand me very much. Anyway eventually he caught on and gathered the gist of where we wanted. He took one look at mMike and his bike and started to say something that sounded like Hail Mary's before pointing up into the mountains to where the place was while shaking his head. I assumed immediately that while in his assessment Alex and I were deemed capable of the challenge, clearly he thought Mike was not. So all for one and one for all, we decided to try to get to our destination via a more civilised route that Mike could cope with.
Eventually made it up and down the mountains safely and back to Malaga. Made our way to the western side of town so we could enjoy an easy run to catch the 1pm ferry to Morocco the following day.
Dinner at out hotel finished of with so fancy flamenco guitar playing and traditional Spanish vocal accompaniment as a local group did some rehearsals.
