I took my second of the Star Alliance flights, from La Paz to Sao Paulo. I got in about 15 minutes late around 7:45pm, and tried to make it through customs as fast as I could. The information booth at the airport confirmed my worry, that I had just missed the last bus to Foz do Iguacu, but I grabbed a cab to the rodoviaria (bus terminal) anyway. Whoa, culture shock. I was so used to living in third world countries, I was totally unprepared for Sao Paulo. For one, the cab was freaking expensive, U$26. For another, the city was, well, almost organized. The highway was efficient with maintained signs. Traffic cruised, neon glared, and I was not in Bolivia anymore. The Sao Paulo highway looks like the Kennedy in Chicago.
