Just a brief note to say that I made it to Canberra. Tiger Airways was no where near as bad as Simon made out (loser) as long as you don't mind collecting your bags in the shed out the back of the airport. I'm still waiting to hear from the US about my job for their summer. Apparently they've had issues contact my references... what a pain in the ass. Oh well, what are you going to do. Before I left Perth I did a 7 day trek along the bibilmun track from Dwellingup to Collie with Liam. It was hard work but fun, made even more so by the fact that I was getting paid as a relief teacher for Scotch at the time.

Regardless of whether I get this job or not (hopefully the former) I'm looking at possibly traveling up to Nam to hang with Ado with potential treks through Cambodia (not the hospitals) and Laos before heading to the Americas. I'm feeling slightly anxious about this job and not knowing whether it'll happen or not. I sort of feel like I'm twiddling my thumbs a little. Its good to be back in Canberra again surrounded by bush and hanging with my extended family. The National Folk festival is this weekend and I'm the venue manager for one of the stages... whatever that means. It should be fun and a welcome distraction from the uncertainty of this Job.

I did a pretty lame job of catching up with anyone before I left but I guess in a style true to myself, that was the only way I could have done it. So to those who I missed, bye! I hope everyone (or anyone who bothers to read this) is doing well and I look forward to hearing from you at some point - be it via here, facebook or email.
