So I've created this travel journal in anticipation of my impending venture over east and subsequently overseas. Hopefully this will abate the sense of impending doom my parents feel every time I travel abroad and return with stories of developing world hospital adventures and questionable back road explorations. Whether or not people choose to read this is entirely up to them. It'll save the group emails, especially for those who will simply delete them as soon as they arrive.
With Adrian in Vietnam, Tim laden with (beautiful) children and Simon whipped by work the rapidly approaching departure over east is seeming more appealing with every day. I'm pumped at th moment because I have an interview with an American Summer camp which takes kids on international adventure trips. It would be such an amazing opportunity and it fits in perfectly with my project with Youth Challenge which begins in November. The dates mean that I would have a couple of months to do a bit of surfing and study up on my Espanol before the project starts. It looks like it would be perfect! Thanks to the time difference it looks like my interview will either be at 11pm or 6am which is going to make it interesting considering my cognitive functioning goes from slow to stagnant late at night or in the early morning.
As far as this journal goes I hope that I can keep it relatively up to date and I'll try and upload photos as often as I can. So there it is. By the way, whales kick ass.
