We arrived in Ciudad Bolivar approximately 5am with Henry and Glenn.  Ciudad Bolivar has got its name because its the place where Simon Bolivar declared independance from the Spanish.  Allthough this didnt come until 10 years later.  Ciudad Bolivar is the last town before the southern Venezuelan Jungle.  As we had quite a few hours to kill before our plane we booked took off, we walked around the town for a couple of hours.  I was buggered as I didnt sleep a wink the entire night as it was absolutely freezing on the night bus and gave me a huge headache.  At the other side of town we found a mini supermarket selling coffee and these friend pastry stuff, with tociņo and queso (bacon and cheese) in them.  I was soon awake after i guts down a gatorade, Ice cream and a coffee as well.  2 hours of walking around we found our way back to the airport, not without being called "mother f**kers" from a bunch of 10 year old school kids, which I couldnt help but crack up laughing at.

The airport was the smallest thing I have ever seen, with the terminal a total of 50m long.  We checked in and hopped into our 5 seater cessna plane!  An unmaintained plane cruising over the jungle... - safe enough!  The propellas span and chocked, as we tooked off rattling and shaking down the runway and we were up!  With not much speed we got some altitude and headed off towards small Indian village of Canaima.

Ciudad Bolivar isnt the most interesting place for myself, and wouldnt go out of my way to see the town.  Apparently it has some really interesting galleries here though that would be nice to see.  However, my trip to Europe has made me Gallery and Museum'd out, haha!  I am just really looking forward to getting into the jungle I guess...
