Went for a sail in Coos Bay, Oregon.  These two vessels, the Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftain (we were on the latter) are operated by the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority.  They are based in Aberdeen, Washington and work their way each year from Long Beach, CA to Puget Sound.  They have several different programs for getting you on a sailing ship.  The ride we took was three hours, and included cannon fire by both vessels.  The water was very calm and there was not much breeze, so it was a pretty calm trip.  I would have preferred less cannon fire, more sailing, and more education, i.e., more talking by the crew about working on a sailing vessel.  But that would have been a different cruise, and this was pretty fun anyway.  I would go back sometime
