I'm writing about this trip after we've finished it - it was so full and intense that we filled a notebook with sketches and stories to tell our tourists...

Altough we planned this trip for quite a while, we really decided to leave all of a sudden when we realize we didn't had any tourists to walk on the street of Brasov or the neighbouring area.

So here we are, two 21 year old tourguides, with everything packed for a week in less than 20minutes, on the way to Hunedoara.

Since we left at 8 in the evening, not too much of the scenery was to be seen.

We passed the beautiful Sibiu, the Cathedral in Sebes, and we got to Hunedoara around 4 am after driving 400 km The Hunyads Castle
The Hunyads Castle
. Just in time to take some great night shots and videos of the Castle.

Altough a very important city in the past, Hunedoara is not a middle city with about 180.000 inhabitants and no non-stops. So after the shooting session we got plenty of time to check our luggage - if nothing was forgotten, to plan the rest of our trip and to smoke, and smoke, and smoke - that's when I thought that, well, I might smoke light cigarettes but if everyday would be like this...

Later in the morning we managed to find a very matinal coffeshop and had 2 strong coffees to balance the lack of sleep in the previous night and we rushed to the HUNYADS CASTLE.

I was impressed by the way that all exterior architectural details were preserved as well as the defensive system. Unfortunately, no tour guide could be found inside, except us [so we had a little chat with the other tourist] and all the castle is being now restored... so there were more restaurators than tourists...

we spend some more hours walking around the city - they also have an impressive Catholic church dated back in the 14th century and then we left for Sarmisegetuza Regia.
