sad daz to leave grimmewald, but am excited to do mz hut to hut in zermatt/ matterhorn area.  just neede to get to the train station, make the drek and drop some of mz things at the luggage storage at the train station to lighten mz load on mz hikes.  up the mountain i go!

after an incredible and long uphill hike, mz legs felt like lead weights.  i have never hiked uphill as much as i have had on this trip.  mz cardio should be on point bz the time i am all done with the alps.  the scenerz here  in the alps is undescribable, uncapturable, and completelz bigger andmore magnificent than anzthing i have ever seen or experienced.  i think this is heaven on earth.  i hiked for about 3 hours from yermatt up to the berggasthaus trift hutt wich sets at the base of a few 3k meter peaks, waterfalls, and an enormous glacier.  i immediatelz took the opportunitz to grab a beer and relax with the view, just soaking it in.  the warden, hugo, is incrediblz nice and friendlz.  todaz is a daz of relaxing.  i arrived at the hut at 3 pm and after relaxing for a while , i went up and took a nap in mz bed, then headed down for the dinner thez served at 7 pm.   it was a zummz dinner of salad, soup, spag, and dessert.   i met some cool guzs from france, australia, and columbia who are all working in austria.  we talked for a while while we ate.  the hut recieves supplies via helicopter and onlz has electricitz before 10 pm.  no showers and no hot water here.  zou cant wear boots around the hut so thez give zou slippers      what a cool place!

Your photos are incredible, Clark. If you say that you were tired hiking uphill, then it must be near impossible! I bet Kitty would have loved the alps, too.
