During the second part of my trip, I have had a little bit more time to relax.  I started off pretty quick and hard out of the gates over the first four days and needed to take some time to give Kitty and myself a little bit of a break so we wouldnt end up dead by the end of the trip.  The second half of the trip included 2 of my favorite hikes, a few workouts, a fire by the river, and a lot of time at the hot springs.  (oh yeah,  alot of beer from Ouray brewery)  YUMMY!  Enjoy the second half of pictures.

Hike 5-  Bridge of Heaven-  Total Length was 6 miles and a hiking time of 5 hours
This was by far my favorite hike of the trip.  One of my all time favorite hikes.  It was a hike that put you at eye level with all of the mountains, cliffs and rocks in the area.  It was 13,000 ft up and it really felt as if you were on the bridge to heaven.

Hike 6-  Mt Hayden-  total length was 6.5 miles. and hiking time was 4 hours
I didnt care for this trail much.  It was more like an off trail bushwhack through snow and tons of downfall.  I didnt summit because of the snow.  Got to tree
line on the mountain though.

Hike 7- Blue lakes (again w snow shoes)  6.3 miles, hiking time of almost 7 hours
Well,  went back to do the blue lakes with my snow shoes.  It was totally worth the effort.  Incredibly gorgeous glacier lakes, amazing panorama around them and not a soul up there due to the massive avalanche and snow drifts on the trails.  The snow shoes were a necessity.  Great hike!
