Hell travel day number 1!

Today has been fun...got up at 3:30am to catch a cab at 4am to catch my 6am flight from Fortaleza down to Campo Grande, via Brasilia and Sao Paolo. Had a minor scare, as I found out I only had thirty minutes to make my connecting flight in Sao Paolo and my first flight was over thirty mintes late, but then was told as we were landing in Sao Paolo that I didn´t have to change planes. What a relief! So, about 8 hours later I got to the Campo Grande airport, immediately changed into pants and a long sleeved shirt as several people on the plane told me there currently is a dengue fever and to a lesser extent malaria epidemic. Great! Shared a cab (they start at $4.50 ! Ouch!) with a couple nice people from my plane to the bus station, and am now killing some time before I head to Bonito on the 4pm bus, arriving around 9 or 10pm. What a day! This town (esp. this bus station) is majorly sketchy and I can't wait to get out of it. I hope to meet quickly with the agency in my Bonito hostel before it closes to book my next two days of activities, and then (I am sure) will collapse from exhaustion as I haven´t slept for a couple nights now...hopefully it is all smooth sailing from here, for the next few days at least....
