So we finally had some time to explore Barcelona a bit last weekend. The week days will be super busy with work for the next few weeks so we have to use our weekends to explore, eat out, drink at local pubs and generally just get to know the city.

So on April 12 I had a teachers meeting in the morning then met up with Andy in the afternoon to explore the Ciutat Vella a bit more. We found a little pub with a patio and hung out for most of the afternoon. Later we had dinner at a cool little restaurant in Raval but now I forget the name. When we get our first visitors - we'll take you here. It is quite funky. We found a movie theatre that just shows one film at a time and happened to be showing Blade Runner at 11:00 p.m. Because this is one of Andy's all time favorite movies, we had to go. It was surreal to see it again.

On Sunday we took the bus from Plaza Cataluņia to the Parc Guell - designed by Gaudi. There were tonnes of people there but it was still very relaxed. We wandered up to the look out then all the way down to the street level. There were people playing music, relaxing in the sun and just wandering about. We took oodles of photos because the designs are so funky. Now we just have to get to all the other Gaudi sites to see the rest of his interesting creations.

On Monday we moved into the flat we're sharing with David and Juan. We'll be there for a couple of months, during which time we hope to find an apartment of our own to rent. If anyone has any leads - let us know!
