We spent three all inclusive nights at the luxury Jock Safari Lodge right in the middle of the park. We flew on a small aircraft which was a new experience and makes any bumps on a commercial airliner seem tiny.

We had six drives with an entertaining ranger called Edgar and met three other couples who were great company. Lots of fantastic wildlife including the big 5 were seen in close proximity and Claire got excited about the crocodiles and hippos.

Lots of bugs and monkeys were our afternoon and evening entertainment including another scorpion and a huge fly disguised as a spider landing on Chris' leg in the landrover. To put it mildy - Claire panicked! :)

We made the most of the food and wine and Chris used the open air private plunge pool just feet away from the open park. Feeling somewhat wind swept and perhaps a little full (any possibility of a diet goes out of the window here!) we left relaxed and wanting more.......
