There isn't much to say about Rosario. It was a quiet little town with the sole attraction being that it was the birthplace of Che Guevara. You would expect lots of memorabilia and possibly a statue or something wouldn't you? Nah, there was feck all! A shitty little sign outside a house to say he was born there. They didn´t mention that in the Lying Planet did they????

Well, it was my turn to get sick so thankfully I got sick in Rosario. I got a dose of Aoife's disease... well, a version anyway. Chest infection thingy but a course of antibiotics and I´m sorted. Thank god you can buy prescription drugs over the counter here or we'd all be screwed!

So, not much to say about Rosario as I spent most of my time in bed at the hostel but there wasn´t much to do anyway so not so bad. Oh, I got my laundry done! Highlight of my stay in Rosario! 7 pesos (about 1.50 squids) and they take your stuff away and bring it back a few hours later all washed, dried and folded. Sweet as.

On Tuesday night we got the night bus to Cordoba. It was supposed to take about 6 hours but it ended up taking a bit longer cause Carmel dismembered the conductor guy´s finger when she was reclining her seat!!!!! We had to drive around looking for a hospital for ages and then we went to 3 separate chemists. The poor guy. He did however try to milk it totally and was looking to get off with Laoise afterwards. Surprisingly she wasn´t wearing him though!!! Needless to say the rest of the bus weren´t so impressed with the stupid foreigners delaying the bus by about an hour and a half. It could only have been us!

We arrived into Cordoba and checked into our dirty, stinking, filthy shithole of a hostel. We checked out first thing and into an apart hotel thingy. Again, we are not really behaving like true backpackers but when it costs 8 squid a night we can afford to splash out in South America. It will be a different story in the rest of the countries we go to no doubt!

Cordoba is excellent. It doesn´t have any real tourist attractions but it has a really nice, friendly buzz about it. It is a real studenty town and the nightlife is really good. The girls went out on Wednesday night and I had a night in just to get over my shitty flu but Laoise and I went out last night. Because we had to check out early today we decided we would try and take it easy and only took out 50 pesos each (about a tenner) to stop us going mad. Yeah right. 5 pesos a cocktail and they drown it in alcohol. A quadruple measure of spirits and mixer for 7.50 pesos. I manage to make it in at 2.30ish whilst that halion Big Bird stayed out with the locals `til god knows what time!

We also tried the local drink - fernet and cola, a herby spicy drink. Absolutely disgusting. Even buckfast is nicer than it. Total rank. Well, at least we tried it.

So, that brings me to now. We are hopping on a bus tour around the town then Aoife and I are going to have hair extensions put in. Yee haa!

Tonight we are getting the night bus to Mendoza. 10 bloody hours... oh, and did I forget to mention how warm and sunny and lovely it is? The weather could not beaten!
