Wow, what a rush going from Venice to Barcelona, especially trying to see everything in Venice in one day, very exhausting.  I think Barcelona is a good city to be slowly introduced to Spain, it is considered the most least Spanish city in Spain and I can see why, it seems like it wouldnt be out of place in any other Western European country.  There is so much amazing old architecture but also massive modern buildings, like the Gaudi creations.  His buildings are why we use his name when refering to something tacky and I completely understand why, they ARE so tacky but the guy was a genius any way you look at it.  Met some really great people at the Mambo Tango hostel and ended up touring the city for several days with a British guy, Matt.  We saw three large Gaudi creations including his park with the longest park bench in the world, an apartment building that had creepy sculptures on the roof terrace, and the Sagrada Familia Cathedral that is still being constructed!  Then we rented bikes and rode down along the beach and the tiny alleys that make up the old town.  In between all this craziness was tapas of fried sardines and small glasses of red wine poured out of barrels, YUM!!!!  Overall an amazing time and an amazing city, I LOVE Barcelona!!!!
